PROCESS / FAQ’s

Website turnaround times for custom websites depend on the amount of work required on your specific project. Typically, most website design and builds take 2-3 weeks. I outline the due dates in our proposal so you know exactly when to expect things.

I’ll pre-design a one page website template with the content you provide before our design day. On our design day, we’ll spend about 4 hours editing, tweaking, adjusting and adding anything else you want, plus you’ll receive a guided tutorial on getting to know your way around the backend of your site and how to make changes.

You are booking me for my 1:1 intensive attention. Before our design day, I’ll ask you to list your top priorities. We’ll get those done first. If there’s more you still want done, you can book me for another day . I also offer website build clients an hour at a time booking so that we can tackle any upcoming changes or needs you might have! I know my way around Squarespace like the back of my hand, and can efficiently take care of a lot in a short period of time + especially with your pre-work preparation.

I work with clients on a first-come, first-serve basis to keep an organized schedule and to ensure ample time for each project. The usual lead time for a custom web design is about 4 weeks. The usual lead time for ‘Website in a Day’ is about 2 weeks.

Web Design projects require an upfront deposit to secure your spot in my schedule. Custom website’s require 50% upfront, with two remaining payments of 25%. ‘Website in a Day require 50% upfront and the final payment made on our design day before I turn your site over to you. This does not apply to hourly rate projects.

Good design work requires creative time and research. Giving yourself enough time ultimately will give you a better finished product.

I don't offer refunds for websites once you've booked me, signed the contract, and put down the 50% deposit.

To be fair to you, and every other client in the design calendar, I stick firmly to my design schedule. All my clients would be upset if I pushed back their design date because a client earlier in the schedule wasn’t ready. If you think you need to change your design day, send me an email and I’ll let you know the next available date in my design calendar. *If you change your design date within 5 business days of booking, your deposit will be used to hold your new date in the design calendar. If you change your design date 6 business days or later after booking, your deposit cannot be used towards another design date and will not be refunded.

Which plan depends a bit on what features and functionality your website will have. I’ll help you pick the best plan for you when we get on our lesson & launch call on the final day of the design period. *As a perk of working with me, you’ll receive 20% off your first year of hosting with Squarespace.

For all design projects a 50% deposit secures your design day. Your final 50% payment will be due at the end of our design on launch day.
